NoShow aanpak | Disruptor
The no-show problem is much bigger than most people realize. A television report back in 2021 already highlighted the issue, but it only looked at it from one perspective: the hospitality industry. Hairdressers, dentists, personal trainers, physical therapists, doctors, tattoo artists, estheticians, podiatrists, and so on, also have to deal with it.

Challenges
The market
Far-reaching individualization has made customers indifferent to the blocking and abusing of entrepreneurs' agendas. The latter are in a category where digitization – and thus connectivity, even with businesses outside their own sector – is virtually non-existent. To avoid having the entrepreneur ask for deposits (which deters customers), an app seems like a solid solution. This takes over the entire administration of the process and immediately creates a better relationship with the customers. This leads to a reduction to almost 0% of no-shows, stimulates customer retention and market expansion, and sustainable business success.
The founder
Faces the discrepancy between timeline, development, market traction, and available resources. A strained relationship with one of the co-founders and the necessity for a full-time job outside the project further skews the balance with the available resources.
Approach
I often say that it is lonely at the top, but it doesn't have to be that way. Founders need a sounding board, a place where they can vent and test ideas against reality. That is exactly what H²BC provided, with a listening ear and advice from our helicopter view as undeniable assets in keeping both the founder and the business on track.
